1964 Gibson ES335 Red

1964 Gibson ES335 Red (Serial Number 70664)

I’ll start off by saying that this is one of the best sounding guitars ever. A big wrap I know, but it’s true.

I’d previously owned several Gibson 335s, all of which were good guitars but this one really shines above them. At one time I almost traded it in on an original dot neck 335 (a very desirable guitar) but this one sounded so much better and I’m very glad I still have it.

  1. Certainly is a nice looking Gibson. I live in Australia and own a 1960 – 61 dot inlay ES335 fitted with a Bigsby tremolo from the Gibson factory. Guitar is tobacco sunburst and is as good as when I got it in 1968. I am the third owner. First was Prince Tui La Tui from the Maori Troubadors Show Band.
