Steve Flack’s Guitar Heroes Vol. 2 was released earlier this year and features Bill Chambers, Phil Emmanuel, Bob Daisley, Stuie French, Dennis Wilson, Rick Fenn, Michelle Rose, Jim Kelly, Jake Lardot and Tina Harrod with Angry Anderson and many more. This album follows on from the success of the first volume released in 2007 which also featured some of Australia’s finest guitarists in Ian Moss, Pete Wells, Ray Beadle and Adam Pringle, along with a variety of other well known musicians like bass players Denny Burgess and Chris Bailey, and drummer Mal Green.

With a core band of Steve Flack on guitar, Michael Smith (The Atlantics, Scandal) on bass guitar and Colin Burgess, (Masters Apprentices) on drums, Sydney-based guitarist extraordinaire, Flack launches the album in Melbourne with a stellar lineup of legendary guitarists of the classic and contemporary blues genre. In a show sure to please not only the hard-core blues fans of Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Cream, Hendrix and more, but all lovers of exceptional, acoustic, electric and slide guitar playing. The lineup is:

Phil Emmanuel – This Fender Telecaster-toting guitarist is the older brother of the now US-based Tommy Emmanuel, with whom he recorded an album, Terra Firma, in 1995. Phil has released two solo albums, Kakadu Sunrise and In The Shadow Of The  Beatles, and has played alongside everyone from Slim Dusty to Don Walker.  Dennis Wilson formerly of Kahvas Jute, performs English-influenced progressive rock and underground psychedelic hard rock at its most inventive and powerful. Bob Spencer is probably best remembered for his years playing with The Angels but replaced Red Symons in Skyhooks before that and first came to public notice in the early ‘70s ripping out searing lead lines for Sydney hard rockers Finch.  Phil Manning of the legendary Australian blues band Chain, is regarded as one of the best blues guitarists in the country and needs no introduction.Phil will play an acoustic set. Martin Cilia of The Atlantics is recognised as one of the foremost surf guitarists in the country. He regularly plays with Dave Warner’s From The suburbs and has also released a couple of solo albums with a new one in the pipeline.
