Burns Double Six 1965 Green Burst

1965 Burns Double Six (green burst) (Serial Number 11052)

I bought this guitar around 1990 from the original owner. They had bought it new and played in a band for a few months then retired from music. This is another “under the bed” guitar.  This was the first Burns Double Six I had actually seen in the flesh and only previously drooled over photos.

I used it on many recording sessions throughout the nineties. The guitar still looks almost new.

Listen to it on this song:

  1. Beautiful, odd guitar. Burns was so far ahead of his time, time couldn’t catch up until he had lost the company. The 1960’s opened so many doors to musicians and instruments but was then quickly exploited by the mega record companies and shady agents. BTW, awesome jam! Wish you were closer to New Orleans. BTW, ever hear of a Welson Sunburst electric? English style, Italian made from 1972.
